YEA!

YEA! highschool art scholarship was created to recognize and support promising high school artists who demonstrate creativity, dedication and a passion for the visual arts, as they pursue their college education at an arts school or as an arts major.

Two recipients will be awarded a scholarship of $1,500 to support their artistic education. The funds will be used toward tuition, required art supplies but not for housing, travel or personal expenses.

• Must be a current high school senior

• Must reside in Evanston IL

• Must submit a 5 pieces of original artwork, music audio files, performance video clips.

YEA! reserves the right to reproduce in color or in black and white, the art work, audio or videos of the selected finalists. That will be used for educational and/or publicity purposes only.

Scholarship recipients will be announced on May 1, 2026.

Applicant must submit and upload jpeg, images , audio or video of five (5) works of art done within the past two years.

The applicant must show the title, the dimensions of the work and the date it was completed. All 2D, 3D, music and video work are accepted.

A short letter of support from a teacher, mentor, or community member familiar with your artistic work. They will need to email to info@openstudioproject.org referencing YEA! scholarship in the subject heading with your name by the deadline of February 1, 2026.

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• Originality and creativity of portfolio, music or video performance.

• Artistic potential

• Clarity and thoughtfulness of artist statement

• Letter of support
