  • Douglas Taylor Elementary School

    Chicago Public Schools

This year OSP had residencies in Taylor Elementary down in the East Chicago neighborhood and Turner-Drew in the South side Roseland community, both thanks to a grant from the Ingenuity Creative Schools Fund. OSP was able to provide several classrooms with creative and expressive art making times rooted in the SEL curriculum. Taylor was able to partake in additional individual Art Therapy sessions with a supplemental grant from the National Endowment for the Arts that allowed for OSP Art Therapists to go deeper with students, allowing them to build trusting relationships in the community.

  • Embarc

    Chicago Public Schools

Embarc resulted in a collaboration with Da Oasis, an engaging west side location that hosted multiple groups of students throughout the year. Focusing mostly on free expression with air dry clay, these groups interacted with the OSP process by interacting with new materials in a non-judgmental group setting.
