Artopia 2026 Recap

Every year, we gather together to celebrate Open Studio Project and our impact on the community. There’s dinner, dancing, mingling, and presenting, and we always have a great time.

At Open Studio Project, our mission is to bring the transformative power of art to individuals for personal growth, social emotional learning, and community well-being.

This year, we hosted the event at Sketchbook Brewing Company in Skokie and celebrated our partnerships with Connections for the Homeless, Chicago Public Schools, Evanston Vet Center and more.

Check out our recap and support the work of Open Studio Project.

When you donate to Open Studio Project, you will not only help fund work on the Main Street Mural, you’ll also bring the transformative power of art to individuals throughout the Chicagoland area.

On May 2nd, art lovers from across Evanston joined our staff, volunteers, and board members for an evening of celebration at Sketchbook Brewing Company in Skokie.

We enjoyed pizza from Billy Bricks food truck, a presentation from our Executive Director, Rob Lentz, and a paddle raise to connect our supporters with the work they help fund.

Dayna Block, OSP Co-Founder, and Ted Harris, OSP Board President, were honored as this year’s Don Seiden Awardees. They are two of our most passionate leaders, who have committed dozens of years to OSP.

Then we danced the night away, and looked forward to what’s ahead for Open Studio Project and our partners.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Artopia this year. You can still support the work of Open Studio Project and help us bring the transformative power of art to those who need it most across Chicagoland.
