Art Retreat

Refresh, renew, reconnect and plug into your artistic self for a
3-day weekend of art making!
Experience Open Studio Project's unique process of intention setting, critique-free art making, and reflective journaling.
Open Studio Project (OSP) is a relaxed and friendly place where you will feel right at home. We welcome visual artists to explore their own creative practice. Facilitators will guide participants through our process, allowing them to connect with their own personal vision and creative practice. The first morning includes a drawing workshop.
**OSP is able to offer CEUs for the following licenses: LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC and General. If traveling from a different state, please contact your state licensing body to confirm they accept Illinois CEUs.

What is the Open Studio Process?
The OSP Process combines expressive, process oriented art-making with thoughtful writing and reflection. Our studio is a safe space, free of any comment or criticism about each others' art work. This creates an environment where you can access your inner wisdom and connect with and expand your intuition.
No prior art or writing experience necessary - just an open mind. Here is further information about intention setting, art-making, and witness

How will each day be structured?
The first morning includes a drawing workshop introducing the components of the Open Studio Process. After that, participants will work in community throughout the day. We will gather around each day as a group to read from our journals and witness each other's images. Reading aloud from your journal is entirely optional.

What materials should I bring?
With the exception of oil paint, we invite you to bring materials with which you would like to work. Additionally, we offer drawing & water color paper, collage materials, tempera paint, brushes, pastels, glue guns and a myriad of other choices with which to embellish images: sequins, beads, feathers, etc..

What is the cancellation policy?
A refund, less a $50 processing fee, will be offered for cancellations made up to one month prior to the program.
No refund will be offered for cancellations after that date. Alternatively, the participant may choose to apply the full fee
to a future class. If a class is canceled by OSP for any reason,
the cancellation fee will be waived.

Use coupon code RETREAT for $25 early bird discount if you register before August 4.
