The Art & Renewal Workshop

 

Art & Renewal Workshop is a unique OSP workshop that is designed to support any helping practitioner whose work is emotionally demanding and prone to burn-out. With this workshop for professional renewal using art, you will develop a sustainable creative practice as a simple and effective way to release stress, restore empathy, and create a needed balance and congruence within your personal and professional life.

Using traditional and unexpected art materials combined with reflective journaling, this 3-hour workshop invites you to engage the Open Studio Process of intuitive art making and writing within a supportive small group format. This workshop blends new and experienced Open Studio Process practitioners, providing an opportunity for all to create and share in an environment of supportive non-interference.

Who Can Benefit from the Art & Renewal Workshop

 

This is an excellent class for teachers, school counselors, first responders, therapists, community organizers, anyone who can benefit from self-care for the caretaker. This workshop is specifically geared towards those in high-stress work environments, our goal is to satisfy a need of these professionals that is often overlooked: the need for self-care. We specifically choose to host this workshop near difficult times in these professional’s lives, such as close to the end of the school year, during the holidays, or following traumatic current events. In doing so, our hope is to immediately address a need of these overworked individuals by providing an outlet for them to reflect and process.

 

Customize a Workshop for Professional Renewal Using Art

 

While our studio scheduled Art & Renewal classes are open to any who wish to sign up, we also have the ability to accommodate private groups that wish to seek the benefit of this art-inspired professional development workshop with confined, specific participants. Whether this is to address the needs of that specific group or to create the most comfortable environment surrounded by peers, we are happy to work with you to create a private Art & Renewal workshop so that we are best able to address those specialized needs. This can be done either on its own or part of a larger goal, such as a staff retreat or professional development day.

**OSP is able to offer CEU’s for the following licenses: LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC and General. If traveling from a different state, please contact your state licensing body to confirm they accept Illinois CEUs. We are currently in the process of being approved to offer PEL CEU’s, so please check back here for updates.

Cancellation Policy: There will be no refunds on any cancellations on the participants part, however, if OSP were to cancel a workshop at any time, the full amount will be returned to the participant. Any questions regarding this should be directed to info@openstudioproject.org.
