How to Partner with OSP
Art & Action and Art & Health
Envisioning a creative experience for your organization or group? Create a community partnership with Open Studio Project and develop a specialized art-based workshop that will support your group’s goals. Collaboration (as you can see below) comes in many forms at OSP.
Art & Spirituality:
Collaborations with churches, synagogues, and other religious organizations
Art & Rites of Passage:
Birthday Parties, Showers, Life Celebrations
Consider the possibilities! For more information or to design a workshop or event, contact us by email at info@openstudioproject.org or call 847-475-0390.
Examples of previous collaborations include, Leadership Evanston, in which art workshops and discussions were focused on creative problem solving skills. As well as, YWCA Week without Violence, a series of workshops and art exhibition of work created by women survivors of domestic violence. We have even partnered with 21st Century to provide after-school art workshops for elementary aged children.
Our goal is to make these programs and workshops as beneficial as possible, so we will work with you to tackle your hopes and goals for this time. A collaborative effort between our staff, teachers, and you will ensure that this will be a valuable endeavor for your group. Contact us to design a specialized art-based workshop near Evanston or surrounding areas.
SEL Art Curriculum
Want to bring our curriculum to your schools but unsure where to start?
To begin, you will need the collaboration and cooperation of your:
- Principal
- Parents
- School Counselors
- Arts Liaison
- Art Educators
OSP has experience in targeting and communicating with the right person within those schools, or we can give you the tools and language to use in order to address it.
There is a strong need for social & emotional education and a need to teach healthy behaviors. SEL takes place within the context of safe, participatory school, family, and community environments that support children’s development and provide opportunities and recognition for successfully applying these competencies. Our goal is to engage your whole community in this process, bringing everyone on board so that they all know the positive power of teaching these competencies.
